Talent is real
And it doesn't always come with a degree, a connection, or a confident voice. Sometimes it's just a hum that won't leave you alone.

Composer, listener, jammer, mentor — and the visionary behind Magic With Music. He opened a room and invited everyone in. Talent and hard work are enough.
"Daboo hears what's underneath the song before the singer even finds it."
"He gave me my first break when nobody else would listen. Twenty years later he still does that for new voices."
"There's a generosity to how he works. He makes the room better just by being in it."
"Magic With Music is the most generous thing anyone in this industry has ever built. And he's done it quietly."
The room runs on these three lines. You'll hear them in every workshop, every jam, every late-night thread.
And it doesn't always come with a degree, a connection, or a confident voice. Sometimes it's just a hum that won't leave you alone.
See where this lives →The room is open to everyone. Who stays in it, who shows up week after week — that's what separates a moment from a life.
See the weekly room →Great songs are never made alone. The voice needs the lyric. The lyric needs the melody. You need the rest of us.
Join the rest of us →I never went to a conservatory. I'm not formally trained. What I had was an ear, a love for the work, and the patience to recognise something real when I heard it.
I've spent my life listening to people make music — strangers in studios, friends at three in the morning trying to finish a verse. The best sound I've ever heard came from people nobody had heard yet.
So I built Magic With Music. Not as a school — I'm not the man for that. As a room. A place where doctors, founders, lawyers, designers, and the rest of us can find each other, jam, learn, and get better at the thing we already can't stop doing.
Some of you will write songs that change someone's day. Some will play with more honesty than anyone trained could. Some will just come, listen, and feel less alone in your obsession. All of that is enough.
Four roles, every week. Why members feel the difference the moment they show up.
Curated Jam Nights are matched by Daboo personally — the right 6 to 8 members in a room together. He listens, watches, decides. The vibe lands in five minutes because of who's in the room.
Apply for a Jam →Songwriting, melody, voice, lyric — the workshops Daboo runs are 90 minutes of him doing what he's done his whole life: listening, encouraging, finding the verse you didn't know was in you.
RSVP a Workshop →Masterclass Conversations are intimate Zoom rooms with composers, lyricists, and playback singers from his network. The kind of access that doesn't exist elsewhere — capped at 30, members only.
See Masterclasses →Quality is high because Daboo's ear is high. Every member, every workshop, every release — passes through him. Not a gatekeeper. A keeper of taste.
Join the Room →Daboo doesn't teach you music. He invites you to it.

The first thing he said in my workshop was, "you don't have to be good. you have to be honest." I haven't stopped writing since.
I've worked with industry composers for years. Daboo is the only one who listens like the song is his own.
The Curated Jam Night Daboo placed me in changed three relationships in my life. He sees who belongs together before they do.

No. Most of his favourite members aren't trained. Daboo himself isn't. What he looks for is honesty and the willingness to keep showing up.
